I wasn't going to comment until I saw a post that said the beach in Bonita Springs is 25 minutes from Lehigh Acres. Sure it is..by helicopter!
Lehigh would not be my first choice, but that's just my personal opinion. I drove around to look for homes, but I didn't care for the area at all. YMMV

I'm currently watching the 11:00 news and they're interviewing crime victims in Lehigh Acres. However, there is some good news according to this article.
