SF weather is very pleasant actually. As we have micro-climates here, we have options galore. Outdoor activity is our specialty. So if 68 degrees and clear blue skys with little to no humidity in SF isn't your style, you can drive across the bay inland about 30 minutes and gain 20 degrees in temeprature. To say this is the "least appealing" is a bit out of line. I'm sure 99% of you people would much rather have these options right now.

The Bay, as of 4:15 today:

I hate the heat. I am dieing here. I can't eat. I can't sleep. I am irritable and very uncomfortable. I don't care where your from, if it's 105 degrees it's too unbearable. My car A/C apparently died sometime this winter. Went to get it filled and it has leaks all throughout it. This came after I already put a 1000 dollars into other areas of the car. So this summer is killing me. I hate driving without A/C. It's torturous. Give me 65-70 any day of the week. I am not cut out for this type of heat. I can deal with -20 better than I can deal with this suffoccating heat.

And as far as California people posting about how great their weather is, (especially San Francisco). That's not exactly ideal "summer" weather either. Seems a bit cold for the hottest month. I think if it were 80 to 85 in the east right now, we could almost point to you guys and laugh about how cold it is in California. But because we are up in the 100's, we have no room to talk about anyone right now. Enjoy it.

Actually, Indian Summer is the norm for most of Cali. September/October usually see the warmest/hottest temperatures of the year, so it is what it is.

The actual point was actually, if clear blue skies at 68 degrees, with little to no humidty wasn't your style, that you can drive 30 minutes inland and get 88-95 degrees temps, low humidity, and clear blue skies. The benefit of having something called a micro-climate.

Like I said, it is what it is. Not much to complain about on our end.

I agree. What's the point of doing ANYTHING water related, or anything OUTSIDE related if you want temps below 69 in the summer? You might as well put on a sweater where-ever you go and pretend it's fall.

In places where the heat isn't as extreme and long lasting, they don't always have air conditioning. I try to cut them some slack. At least it is legitimately hot in the NE.

This year at Wimbledon (in London), people were having heat strokes when the temp hit 82.

My Gosh. It's summer. It's hot. I hate it. No one likes it. Some days are hotter than others. Some days are really SUPER hot. Everyday, all day, the news, the radio announcers, and weather people talk about how hot is it - they show bright orange maps showing it's hot - everywhere. They call it heat wave, blistering hot, steaming hot, it's hot today, hotter next week, this weekend maybe not so hot.... OK. Got it. It's HOT.

Geesh. I'm starting to lose it.

Talk to your boy Stars&StripesForever...he's been talking about how this is commonplace in Georgia.

Anyways, nothing like relaxing in some A/C, playing GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony and pounding back some Narragansett Summers (who the hell knew Narragansett made summer beer?)

Please read the articles I posted before commenting on them. They referred to cancellations in the south due to COLD WEATHER, not snow. I'm unaware of any cold weather-removing equipment.

Back to my point:
I started that last thread. I'd hardly call it complaining. I just thought it was noteworthy because this is the hottest summer on record here.
