What attitude are you referring to?, the poster was simply making an observation.

Rural areas can be just as sketchy as the worse parts of any big city. When single company/industry towns shut down, most folks re-tool and move on. But there's always a percentage of the population that sticks around and cooks meth or does something equally productive. Observing that fact doesn't make anyone an elitist.

America has a lot of very cool homey small towns, I happen to live in one myself, but it also has a lot places that have simply been forgotten, and you know them when you see them.

I moved from Dallas to Midessa, Texas.Its been a good move but I am more than ready for a change.I know the metroplex is not "world class" but its the closest I have ever lived in.
