I'm dreaming of the day that it is actually acceptable in the whole of US. It is the least of the addictive substances including coffee and cigarettes. It would be a great source of taxes for the states as well to help with roads, schools etc. Please let's keep this rolling through the country!

I live in Southern CA and while there are a lot of Dispenseries here and there I don't see it being used on the street in general. Not at all. We go through SFV all the time and they have quite a few dispenseries too but no one on the street is smoking it and no one outside of the dispenseries are partaking. Night Clubs? Of course. It's still kept pretty "private" around town. Okay, what I'm really hoping from my visit here is that someome does know what cities/towns are tolerant of med mj use in General, I don't mean that people are walking around smoking, just that are forward enough thinking not to associate it's use with heroin! I had thought Merced, CA I just read an article and I can tell that they Still think it's worse than alcohol, Heroin, oxycotin, Norco, etc. The Mayor of Livingston, CA even said that he could never ok disperseries, he is a minister! Yikes! Religion and politics, I thought this area was more forward minded. We're a nice family, we're looking for good schools and clean water too. Any ideas? We were hoping for Central Valley because we want to grow fruit trees. Any where that has Unity or Religious Science Churches would be good too. Thanks!

Medical Marijuana is legal in Colorado and some areas have decriminalized small possession amounts. I was at an outdoor festival last year and was chatting with a couple of cops when some young people walked by smoking. The cops said "I'm sure they probably have a card" and laughed. I'm not sure if that would be the attitude of all police (these ones were young) but it does feel pretty legal here.

Seattle is a pretty good place if your a marijuana user. The city not only made it its lowest priority for police but they also recently announced that they will not prosecute anybody for marijuana possession(Big time dealers still should worry). Everyone practically smokes in Seattle and I remember when living there having a lit joint in my and having discussion with an officer. He recommended that I take my smoking elsewhere but took 0 action in enforcing the law(not all officers are like that though). Its pretty relaxed in Seattle and even with marijuana being practically legal it is still a very safe city with very little crime.

Hopefully Hawaii catches up as we have medical marijuana but the state hasn't set up a system of dispensing it.

Can't wait for the day its legal.
