Whoa. It's like you read my mind. Country folk are nice, hardworking, smarter...rednecks are dumb country folk. Ghetto people and rednecks have the exact same mentality, you can't convince them that they're making a fool out of themselves, but they don't care. Who wants to be a redneck? That's like me saying that I'm a goon from the hood and I'm proud, shyeah right.
I loved your post. That's exactly how I feel too. Thanks for your input on this subject.
Hehe, there is a bumper sticker on a car at my apartment that says "Paddle faster, I hear banjo music". It always makes me chuckle whenever I go past it.
I guess I'm imbibed with enough redneck tendencies as it is, so I don't need to make it any worse by self-identifying as one.
Don't feel so bad bud. I am a hunter that could be considered redneck in the US here its something rich people do. Funny how our cultures are different.
It's what you are inside that counts, not what other people think.
For any of you who call yourself scotts-irish, I am here to tell you there is no such thing. The irish were given this name while passing threw Scotland while on their way to America. The American people instead of differentiating between the two races, they just lumped them together. You are really either one or the other. Unless of course before coming to America your family integrated with the opposite race. Some people don't really understand this fact.
