East - Queens, New York
North - Lansing, Michigan
South - St Petersburg, Florida
West - Santa Monica, California

The only one of these that that'll probably change soon is south with Miami or Sarasota.

If you're talking worldwide then

East and North - Amsterdam
West - Kuala Lumpur
South - Singapore

Not really sure when east becomes west and west becomes east.

So would going from the US to the Netherlands be going "east" or going "west" to you? Because I would hit KL and Singapore before I hit the date line. To me, anything roughly left Kashmir/the Stans is east and right of Kashmir/the Stans is west, since that is basically on the other side of the world from where I am. That is how I measure it US wise. Left is west, right is east.

Yes, but the way Latitude/Longitude is set up, the 180th meridian is the divider between east and west, which the IDL mostly follows.

So while you may fly west to a destination in Asia/Australia, you end up in the east once you pass 180 degrees.
