Modern day Western White people are some of the most tolerant and accepting people the world has ever seen.
Society tells that them white men are top dogs socially and economically across the world. That makes them believe that they're entitled to any women they choose. We constantly reinforce imagery and ideology that expresses that men (especially white men) are owed whatever they want - including sex.
Pretty scary how groups of people can radicalize because they feel estranged from society and think that society owes them something, be it a job, respect, sex, success, etc. This is what happens when white people sacrifice social solidarity in the name of capitalistic pursuit.

If anything politics might be a secondary irritation. There has been a massive shift of expectations of men just within the last 3 generations that is in direct conflict with their DNA. Everything from industry, technology, civil rights & the legal system has changed faster in the last 50-100 yrs than any other element that has shaped human evolution.
And the impact on males has been much more disruptive than for females. A seven year old boy was suspended for chewing his pop tart into the shape of a gun & "pow-powing" his classmates. Throw a snowball & you get ISD. In the 1960's & early 70's, high school boys who got caught fighting got sent to coach to put the gloves on & "work it out".Now, that results in criminal charges. The energy & strength once harnessed to work a field & tend the livestock is now called ADHD. The "might makes right" factor that was once needed to protect your pregnant wife & offspring is now considered aggressive & inappropriate ... Illegal.
Anything once considered an attribute for a male 100 yrs ago has been almost criminalized. What we are seeing in society now is what happens to the male society during incarceration: They align by race (tribal behavior), stake out "turf" & design rank based on male dominance factors.
Human adaptation to changing enviornments was always determined by the human changing the enviornment as well as physical adaptation that takes place over hundereds of years & multi-generations. Basically, I feel like the human male in a developed society/country has been backed into a corner & now they are pushing back. This is the RE-action, not a curious phenomena that started by who knows what.

Actually it would look really bad - like WV or KY or worse - if it were influenced by so-called "Anglo" culture which was the largest force in the economy of the South. They'd probably be dictatorships and still have slaves and advanced very little in the sciences...
As has been mentioned before, the settlers of the original Jamestown refused to move a muscle (work) until under threat of the NOOSE by a new commander sent there.
So the model of white supremacy - and let's not fool ourselves, it largely seeps out of the South and Texas, etc...the SLAVE STATES where anglos did almost nothing.
If you read your history you'll see that places like Texas were really really bad...until the GERMANS arrived. The Germans laughed at the Anglos - who owned hundreds of cows but were too lazy to even milk ONE. They set up their own towns and prospered.
And so, regardless of the color of the skin - the country is moved forward by the WORK of free people. It was largely immigrants including the Germans - who built a more civilized version than the "white trash supremacists" were living in.
