I live downtown and find that people in this "village" area of Greensboro are open, interesting, and laid-back. Sure, it's an urban area with all the bells and whistles, but I think that's one of the reasons the people have some pizazz. The best part about downtown is walking to L'Italianos, where the pizza is edible! No, it's not the New York pizza you are used to, but it gets closer to the real thing than Elizabeth's (ugh). When I'm out in the suburbs, Mario's is the only other decent pie in town. As for bagels . . . there's always Fed Ex
