Yes great question. Good place to eat. I remember the Schlotsky's on Woodruff and Wade Hampton(soon to be Huey Magoo's) and Greenwood had one as well.
The company itself had some serious issues around the time all those opened (and closed). The company went into bankruptcy in 2004 and was bought out.. But.. I believe the stores around here were all franchises.
I've wondered if it was kinda a Quizno's situation, where if your money was green, you could own a franchise and they were putting people in who didn't really need to be in the business, if you know what I mean.
Tried to go to Wayback Burgers at 6 p.m. yesterday, but it was closed. All the seats were up on the tables and no lights on. Only thing on the window was a help wanted flyer.
I tried calling on my way there and just got a message that voicemail had not been set up yet.
Anyone know if this is permanent?

Their online ordering hours seem to indicate they close around 4pm.
The Open Hearth on Wade Hampton is closing at end of June. I hope they get new owner/operators to replace the retiring couple at this legendary Greenville establishment. Sad it seems like we keep losing these places that made Greenville feel like Greenville.
