We went one evening to try Abbott’s for the first time, they were out of everything. I mean anything you could want to eat- there was none. We were disappointed and decided we would not go back. If this was a norm for them, no wonder they closed.

I do not like to see a business fail. These people had a great location and half ---ed it. When I went in they only have vanilla and chocolate and a few items to put on the custard. The place it self was bland. They were competing with Hub City Scoops and Spill the beans Ice Cream. Without a lot of other choices they did not stand a chance.

Rocky Moo Ice-cream is taking the old Abbott's spot downtown. Monster Subs's location downtown is open. Eggs up Grill is locating in the old talbots location on East Main. Talbots moved to Hillcrest Shopping Center. Wild Wing is moving down Morgan Square to the old C&S bank building. Rapid Fire Pizza open on Reidville Rd.

The new Wendy’s on South Pine is very snazzy and modern looking! The whole corner of East Main and South Pine is revitalizing and looking much more upscale.

Yes it is looking a lot better. Developers have bought two different corners within the last several months and I think we will see that area change quite a bit over the next couple of years. We still have the three hotels that need to go in that area. Maybe a miracle will happen.

The new Spartanburg headquarters for the United Community Bank is beautiful. If we can do the same thing with the other corners that would be great. And when I say go about the motels, I mean that the three motels need to be condemned and bulldozed. The Wendy's totally changed the look of that side of the street. Hopefully something new and different will come to the old Wendy's location.

Maybe they really just moved to the new one that just opened at Tyger River Plaza in Moore next to Eggs Up Grill & the Publix?
