For the most part. But that is just a single lane roundabout. The Verde roundabout will have two lanes of thru traffic. A bit more challenging for some SC drivers.
Straight, flat roads are a challenge for some here...
I also didn't realize that this project would include a roundabout on Verdae. I thought the only roundabouts were at the end of the cul-de-sacs. Will this be the first roundabout on a major 4-lane road in Greenville? Raleigh implemented these years ago near NC State and had to rework one of them a couple of times because of accidents. Single-lane roundabouts are not very difficult to maneuver for first-timers. A two-lane one will be...interesting.
I think all signalized intersections along Verdae Boulevard excluding its termini at Laurens Road and Woodruff Road will be converted to roundabouts.

What they need is something like the roundabout on Hilton Head Island where Pope Ave., Wm. Hilton Pkwy., Palmetto Bay Rd. and Greenwood Dr. all come together. People who are taking the nearest right turn never have to enter the roundabout traffic, which is better for everyone. It still confuses some people, but it still works very well.

Probably the busiest roundabout in the Greenville area is partially like this (the one at Magnolia Park). It's a great modification to the concept.
1. People will love the roundabout.
2. Traffic will move with ease.
3. There will be a few idiots that will not obey common rules of courtesy.
I dunno about #1 there.. Check the Simpsonville Residents page on facebook and see what they have to say about them lol. There are people who - and I swear I'm not making this up - say they would rather sit at a traffic light than navigate the roundabouts we have. Seriously.

Those folks would probably fit into category 3 too.

Hopefully they will boycott the areas that have them and we will kill two birds with one stone.
