They officially started on the Panera Bread at Easley Town Center today. Once it is completed around June they are going to start on the line of shops between Academy and Burkes Outlet - around 20,000 square feet.
We had a meeting today with Jodi Cross, the leasing director of Easley Town Center about the company that I work for constructing a building behind Tractor Supply. She confirmed the Panera Bread and other shops by Academy. They had several pieces of equipment working on the Panera site. She also mentioned that a Cigar shop is going in by Blueberry Frog. I don't know if our building will work out or not but I hope so, still in the early stages. She also mentioned another restaurant possibly going in but since it isn't confirmed I will wait to mention it.

Easley desires to "sea food differently." Land (Tractor Supply Company) and sea (Red Lobster) would compliment each other nicely.
Not sure we will see any new RL's for a while or possibly Olive Gardens. The middle level restaurants are still hurting thanks to the economy . One of the main problems is the middle class is struggling to find the money to splurge at these restaurants and opting to eat at home. They probably will not expand until the uneasiness subsides.
I won't be surprised if Easley gets a McAlister's Deli. Clemson just had a new one open up , and they plan to build several new ones in SC this year. Anderson will probably get one too.

Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse has received more promotion than Red Lobster over the years. I guess the intended sale of Red Lobster by Darden has quieted down. The Simpsonville location will be nice when it opens.
