Not surprised. That store is so small and looks like they are closing quite a few smaller town stores. Sure that space will fill quickly.

Every time I drive by there, I don't see a lot of cars in front of JCP. (with the exception of Black Friday). Do you know which other small stores are closing there?

I hope so, but I won't hold my breath. I can see something like Ross doing well there. Hobby Lobby and Belk stay pretty busy.

Yes. That's correct. JCP is closing 130 underperforming stores to concentrate and invest in their better stores like Haywood. I don't know of any other stores closing in Easley.

Ross would be nice to get in Easley.

Yep. I posted that back on 3/16 in this thread when construction bids went out. It is taking a while to get going and was surprised they are expanding again after closing 2 of their 3 upstate locations on S Pleasantburg and Greenwood.

I agree it is good but people are so hung up on Chickfila here. Hope it does well. You can't get much better traffic than practically being in a Walmart parking lot. LOL.

Anyone have an idea what's going to be in that area under construction behind Walmart?

I heard Aldi will be closing for remodeling for a couple weeks in August, starting August 10th. surprising as the store isn't that old but I guess they are upgrading all of their stores.
