They're in negotiations along with O'Charley's. I don't believe either one has signed a lease yet though.

So I guess Best Buy is out now, I don't think as a company they are interested in expanding to much state side with their traditional boxes.

Best Buy is in negotiations and is slated for phase 5 of the development.

And why did I ever say Petco in this thread? It's Petsmart.

Red Lobster and O'Charley's are two great chains that have not expanded in the upstate in ages. O'Charley's went from planning a second Greenville location to closing its only store several years ago. Red Lobster usually does not open that many new locations assuming the cost of seafood factors greatly into its expansion plans.

Whoever opens in Easley, one or the other is bound to open over in Seneca.

The decision to build a 2nd Red Lobster in the Greenville area would be richly rewarded, I'm quite sure!

The addition of a second Olive Garden in Greenville was not a problem for Darden. No doubt it would succeed very well if done the same for Red Lobster.

It seems like in most cities the Red Lobsters are few and far between........ In the city I used to live..LV.... ( pop 2 million ) there were 2 Red Lobsters each far across town from one another....

And when I lived in Boca, there was one and from what I know, not another one for 40 miles...

It's a shame because I love them !
