Looks like the Corona near Wade Hampton High is relocating to the old steak house building across the street next to Sav-Mor. I saw a coming soon sign today on the property.

There must be some story behind this - they were in a nearly perfect location for visibility and access. Maybe the rent was steeply raised?

That's what I was thinking since the shopping center has been revived. I would watch that space for a new restaurant being built there.

Default Corona Mexican Restaurant, 2112 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-1039

Corona Mexican Restaurant has remained constantly busy through the years through delicious food, reasonable prices and good service. Competitors nearby have not done so well.

Entry to the new location will be a negative when traveling eastbound on Wade Hampton Boulevard. Access from Sav-Mor #832's parking lot would be a wise move.

Looks like there's a new pizza place open on Congaree Road in the place that used to be occupied by the Olympian Restaurant. Anyone had a chance to try it yet?

That'd be Gourmet Pizza and More, which used to be on Augusta Rd.

I haven't swung by the new location, but I had lunch there a couple of times with coworkers on Augusta and thought it was the worst pizza in town. (I'm the type of person who almost never rates pizza less than "okay" too.) Admittedly, though, I had the buffet, and maybe the pizza's better when they're making it by request.

We went to that new place Cheers on Rushmore off Wade Hampton Blvd. It is right behind the KMart and it used to be the old Irashai/Tanoshi Sushi. The food is amazing so I can see why it is so busy on Thursdays-Saturdays. They said they are starting seafood specials on Saturdays and will have all you can eat crab legs soon.

I would like to know if Radioshack is still relocating to a new location on Augusta Rd. The old store was demolished to make room for a new CVS, and they had plans to move to a new location across the street. But this was before some of the other locations closed due to bankruptcy. The Radioshack stores in Cherrydale, Taylors, and Greer have remained open.
