Perhaps you'll want to read a little more on the Captain D story. They have plans for 20 locations in the upstate, several of which will be in Spartanburg. I cant imagine 20 upstate stores without them entering the Greenville market as well.

I know they have a Greenwood location for over 30 years now and I believe they have just added locations in Anderson.

WYFF is reporting that a Hyatt Place hotel is planned for downtown Greenville:

The new Aldi on Wade Hampton, in Greer opened on the 29th and has been absolutely packed since then.

It seems a tad larger than the one in Taylors, the isles are wider, and of course everything is shiny and new. Very nice.

Hopefully this will inspire Aldi to build more stores in the Upstate. Another Trader Joes would be awesome also. (Same parent company).
