I think this was meant to be a joke and the tread was meant to be a fun one. Now it has turned into a more serious one. it was moved from the Food and Drink topic to health.
I noticed that on page 2 and jumped ahead just to see how many sticks in the mud were kickin' in.
Goodness!
I didn't catch the humor in it. So many people are overweight it's disgusting and sad that they choose to kill themselves slowly with food. I should buy stock in wheelchairs because they won't be able to walk when they become elderly.
Calling the suicide hotline didn't strike me as funny either.
Sorry about not lightning up. Just not funny to me.
When I was pregnant I developed gestational diabetes and the doctor told me that it may not go away - that I may just "keep" that diabetes after the pregnancy (diabetes runs in my family but thankfully mine went away and now I'm in my mid 50s and it's still nowhere close). He gave me a list of what to eat and what not to eat, and I remember going out to my car and crying. Not because I was worried about my health or even the health of the baby - I was young and silly and figured I would just stick to the plan and everything would be OK (and thankfully it was). No, I was crying because I could no longer eat chocolate.
