oh I have to disagree.... I have been 'repped' only to get a lesson in punctuation before.

But I knew what they meant anyway.

To get back to the original question.. I'd think I'd have to go with elevator. These old joints protest loudly with every step up my stair case.

Switch to LED bulbs. You will be amazed how much brighter they are.

I would add a studio room for myself. It would not have to be very big, but a bright window would be nice. I'd use for various projects i embark, for coloring and for gift wrapping.

Several things:

In our formerly rental house: add a pantry closet. Also I have a short hall where we come in from the garage, with a door to the left into laundry room, an opening to the right for kitchen, and straight ahead door to master bedroom. For some reason we thought we didn't need an overhead light...it's a dark little spot, always was annoying.

Our present house: we put our sink in the middle of the island. Great view out to the back yard or front yard with a little turn of the head. But, with no backsplash, the water makes a mess on the island. I would put the sink on the other counter.

Also, we made the island a little too big. It's a huge kitchen but not enough bare walking space in there.

Are we ever satisfied?

The placement of the sink in the kitchen. This is the first time I have ever seen an L-shaped sink in the corner of a countertop. Not only do you smack your head on the cabinet above the left side of the sink, the faucet is long enough that when you swivel the running faucet from the left to right sink it pours water onto the countertop and rots it out. We are going to remedy that next year by removing the peninsula where it sits and adding a set of cabinets along the eat in wall where the sink and dishwasher will live. We can't move the sink now because a trash compactor and gas stovetop sits to the left, and the dishwasher sits to the right in the peninsula with no room to move anything over. I think that is THE biggest gripe we have with the whole house.

Move it up one of the nearby hills overlooking Mt. St. Helens.

Smaller lot, bigger house. We don't really need over an acre of land.
