If that rendering is the final design, I think it will look great and be fan friendly.

The “momentous” announcement was the official kick off of the Herd Rises campaign. The one that was announced like 3 or 4 months ago. If you are going to build something up like that, don’t announce it ahead of time.

Agreed. It was such an anti-climatic moment. Disappointed to say the least.

I don’t keep up much with Marshall activities but is there a list of upcoming projects that they are doing? I know of the baseball stadium and a few other things but any long term projects to look forward to?

I’ve read over the 10 year plan back in 2013 and I’m hoping they release a newer one soon.

I haven't seen any kind of recent list. In addition to the baseball field, I know they have the new business school and the new Byrd Center parking garage. I wouldn't be surprised to see more buildings on the medical campus as they look to expand offerings and bring everything medical into one area. I wouldn't be surprised to see MU involvement in redeveloping the old ACF property as well.

Here's an update on the parking garage:

and the baseball field with a different view on the renderings:

Thank you for the helpful links. Is the outfield looking toward 5th avenue? Where is 24th street pictured here? or are they paving over that and having a different road?

Yes, in the overhead rendering, 24th Street has been replaced by the parking lot. If that is the plan, let's hope another street can be upgraded to replace the convenience of losing 24th street.

I hope they end up adding a parking lot on the other side. It seems like that would be a natural. A parking lot on the (~22nd St.) other side would seem to be a great place for a group to develop a tailgating tradition for football games for the people that sit in the area near the Marshall Band or in the end zone seats.
