I think you also forgot to consider that the USA allows more immigration today than all other nations combined.

I suggest you re-read what tinman said. We are a different country today. Things have to change with the times. I don't see where the founders encouraged illegal immigration anyway.

Not at all but one must take it in context. What was the reality of the day.
They thought it was perfectly acceptable to own slaves. I dont.
They thought settling an insult with a duel was acceptable. I well sometimes I wouldnt mind.
I agree with with much of what they believed in. But I have no doubt were they here today they might views some of their own ideas differently.
How did they feel about social programs?
What would they say about paying people to stay at home?
How would they feel about how we use our military as the worlds police force?
