It's a cop from Texas. Is anyone surprised?

Default Trooper fired from chopper to stop truck, kills 2 [illegal immigrants]

Too bad they were illegally in our country. If they
had obeyed our laws and stayed in their country,
they would be alive now.

Ok.

This is another shining example of a cop from Texas doing something that perpetuates every negative stereotype people have of law enforcement.

Exactly. That's why we have laws - but these people will risk their lives for the easy money and welfare handouts but they absolutely will not make any effort to reform their own countries.

Reforms would accomplish far more -- but these people care only about themselves. They'll let their countries go to hell and anyone who stays behind can be damned -- it's like people jumping into a lifeboat until it sinks rather than grab a pail to bail out the boat.

This one clearly is an "expert" on police chases:

Quote:
Dr. Alpert is a nationally recognized expert on police violence, pursuit driving, and training. He teaches courses in research methods and policing.

Professor Geoffrey Alpert has been conducting research on high-risk police activities for more than 25 years, and has published more than 100 journal articles and 15 books. His book is Understanding Police Use of Force: Officers, Suspects, and Reciprocity (with R. Dunham) and was published in 2005 by Cambridge University press...

But I understand it is more appealing to regard a blog as providing "expert" information:

...With half a million illegal aliens in the state and most in "sanctuary city," Chicago, it would be a fair speculation that they are the cause of the wildly above average rate of fatal hit-and-runs here.

Actually a cop that isn't afraid to confront criminals is not a bad thing at all. The villain in this story is the driver of the truck with a supporting cast of fellow criminals who were along for the ride.

Really? What did this trooper do wrong? You're stereotyping most law enforcement personnel as being lawless renegades and in particular in the state of Texas?
