Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.

Way To Go, Sheriff!
Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

Sheriff Joe was just reelected Sheriff in Maricopa County, Arizona
Then why are there so many repeat offenders in Maricopa County?

So there's no reason for me to show you the least bit of respect, because you haven't earned it in my eyes? Or should I treat ALL human beings with respect until they show me that they're not worthy?

THe "law" is crap. Plain and simple. I break the "rules" on a daily basis--yet it hurts no one.

As you stated.

And the harsh reality is that a rather small group of people (under 10%) commit the vast majority of at least violent crimes.

It also depend which laws that you break:

Smoking a joint, driving too fast (if otherwise safe to do so), etc. is one thing----------willfully hurting other people (especially children) will catch up with a person rather quickly.

As it should...but the punishment shouldn't come from some government entity, but from the people so threatened.

In other words, we should have no judicial system. Everyone should exact retribution according to their own method of judgment and punishment.

That is what separates First World society from other more 'tribal' based ones..........by and large, our legal system is pretty effective in keeping slimeballs in line.

The alternative would be anarchy. Somalia comes to mind.

We should have no government whatsoever. The only thing that should restrict your actions is the fear that others will find it harmful to them and take retribution.
