You need to take another look. There are simply way too many blocks to any significant change to tighten the immigration system and deport a lot of people. Trump is not going to do it. And he could not if he actually wanted to. He is part of the problem not the solution.

The various constituencies in the House and Senate will inevitably gut any employment law changes. And such changes really don't have much support. You really want to send the manager of your local Chinese restaurant to jail for hiring an illegal to wash dishes?

Really willing to make all Contractors responsible for the hiring of their subs? Send the home builder to jail or crippling fines if a sub has his ilegal nephew working on a crew? Really?

We screwed up and did not handle it in 1988 when it was doable. And then it was the same problem as today only a factor of ten or so smaller.

And any attempt to tighten employment law will fail...as it has for the last 30 years.

All pipe dreams. No substance
People are a whole lot MORE pissed in 2016 than in 1986; too, word was there were far less illegal aliens here back then AND they kept their mouths shut.

Source? What polls I see show little change from 20 years ago and no where neqr the 2/3 or 75% support needed to actually attempt to deport the present illegal aliens.

You have different data?

This is what is getting them upset: Temporary jobs becoming a permanent fixture! There is no security and no benefits where medical and dental insurance is going sky high. Then we give away everything to those that have not earned it!
