Currently, in the southern Rockford suburbs of New Milford and Cherry Valley, we have a thunderstorm with torrential rain, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds. I wouldn't be suprised if we get a quick 2-inch rain total.

Yesterday, I think the official temperature reading at our airport was 93. I did see a bank thermometer of 97. It was hot!

Thats weird. Sunny out here all day in St. Charles. Not as hot, and the humidity levels have dropped a lot, making today much more comfy than yesterday. Right now it feels like the temp has dropped about 10 degrees from just 2 hours ago. A/C is off! Yessss.

Another gorgeous day. Got a bit toasty for my tastes, but still a beautiful day to be out and about. Sitting under some amazing stars right now...

Strange day. Sunny and perfect most of the day, but about an hour ago we got dumped on with a freak t-storm for about 10 minutes. Its cloudless again as I write this. Odd.

Well, the last week has pretty much blown. Hot, humid, plenty of rain. Looks like this week (after Wed) will be back to being hot and humid again.

For the first time in my life, I would seriously think about leaving IL for some place like Santa Fe, where rain and humidity is virtually non-existant. Ive had enough. This summer so far has been a bottom-feeding-suck-fest-pit-from-Hell.
