In the past 50 years there have been and still are a fairly large number of Amaericans living in Islamic Nations. We have US military Bases in nearly every if not every Islamic Nation. Americans have lived in Islamic Nations as American GIs and most have become somewhat familiar with Islam. Add to that from the 1950s through the 170s or 80s the majority of oil field workers in the Islamic Nations were Americans.

Islam is not invisible and many Americans are familiar with it.


It should also be noted there is growing momentum for the Islamic Nations willingness to bomb ISIS

During Kerry’s stop in Jidda on Thursday, 10 Arab countries joined the United States in issuing a communiqué that endorsed efforts to confront and ultimately “destroy” the Islamic State, including military action to which nations would contribute “as appropriate.”

Neither Syria, Iran, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon nor Iraq are kingdoms these seem to be the nations immediatly threatened by ISIS

Saudi and Jordan are probably the only Kingdoms they pose a danger to.

Of the 49 Islamic Nations (47 if you don't count Palestine and Kosovo as being Nations) only a handful, mostly the Arabic ones, are Kingdoms and of those Saudi is probably the only absolute Monarchy. Most Islamic Nations are secular.
