Try a neighborhood called Trevor Green/Sterling Ridge which is very close to the beach, Mayport Naval Station, and has much better schools than Mayport. It is off of Girvin Road and Ashley Melisse Road. There was a foreclosure home that just went for $135k and a short sales just down the street from that a short sale that went for $150k. Last year the houses were selling for $220-250k, but with the market now you can get a really good deal on a decent house, and there is a bunch of them. Any real estate agent can give you listings for that community, and when they built this neighborhood, they didn't mow down all the trees like they do now, so it's very appealing.

keithshoe is on a distinguished road
Short Sales have some good deals, but I am not sure I would show one to a relocation that has a set time frame to find a new home. You are putting all your faith in the bank accepting your offer in a timely fashion.

It depends on each particular situation and conditions for every buyer. No two deals are the same.

Default Mayport relocations

I just had another thought....visit the website REALTOR.com - Real Estate Listings & Homes For Sale and then do a search by area code. If you use area code 32225, that will keep you close to Mayport and the beach, but will keep you on the affordable side of the Intracoastal Waterway.
