Whats your favorite mom & pop place to eat?
Your favorite non-chain place to eat in Kansas?
Could be a diner,or some tiny burger place that seats 4.

Carriage Crossing in Yoder, or Hays House in Council Grove.
Some good ones to consider:

I've been to the one in Cassoday, though not when it was having the motorcycle thing.

Cafe Casbah in Overland Park serves Mediterranean food, including the most amazing seafood bisque. We love it. For BBQ, we like K&M in Spring Hill.

Is Ty's just east of La Gallette on Douglas? I know I've never been there.

Park Hill in St. Francis.
They serve a stuffed sopapilla (Indian taco) that is absolutely to die for!
(Literally, probably... lol)

It's not a mom & pop burger joint but it's small; I like Japan Express at 21st and Rock in Wichita. Lots of selections for such a small setting, I think.
