Forgot to put another one on my list

10. The water here......sucks!! I read an article 6 months ago that stated out of 100 citiies, Vegas ranks close to the top polluted water to drink.
Wrong again. All that study said was that Las Vegas checks its water more and more thoroughly than virtually anyone else. It is the same water in better shape which then feeds much of southern California.

Do you ever read anything you quote?

I have to agree on the water. That's why we get bottled water.

I hate the dorks that lurk on the local message boards insulting the people that live in Las Vegas.
Because they suffer from a bad attitude and nothing goes right in their lives, they like to take it out on everyone else. I say if you hate it here, get the heck out. And quit your whining.

Agreed.

If this was a "what do you dislike about City-Data" thread my list would be as follows:
1. People who cry about a city they don't live in on the forum.
2. People who cry about a city they do live in on the forum but for some reason don't move out.
3. People who use faulty statistics that aren't from random samples and were taken in a biased way on purpose to say what the person who gathered them wanted to prove. Or the same person doesn't comprehend what the statistics actually say. Then these craptistics are usually used by other tools to prove how they are right concerning #1 and #2 complaints above.

I'm sure someone else's #1 could be people that cry about people that cry about a particular town on CD. That could be a valid complaint.

Curious how you're coming up with this brilliant conclusion

I don't mind the heat while out and about the valley, it's just upstairs that it really gets to me! I get tired of being drenched in sweat. That's all.

And before anyone pipes up with "you can always move." No we can't. Stuck in a home that is worth less than what we paid. We are not the type to just walk away. So we stay and tough it out.

Heat rises so you have to run the central heat/air fan 24/7 to equalize the temperature in the house. Also, probably could use solar shades and more attic insulation/ventilation.

I had a 2 story house once where the two upside bedrooms facing south were always hot in the summer. Turns out that they were also next to the uninsulated garage attic. Once I insulated the garage and super-ventilated the garage attic problem solved.
