Anybody familiar with the housing situation on the corner of Aliante Pkwy & Centennial Pwky? Seems like a large amount of nearly identical houses east of Aliante Pkwy and north of Centennial are for sale.
Just wondering if there is something happening in that area convincing owners to sell, or just more people selling because of financial difficulty?

I also think these are KB homes and I've heard negative opinions on KB.

A lot of homes are in foreclosure, from investors making a bad deal, hence the large amount for sale. Investors descended on Aliante in the early days, like hawks to a field mouse. And many of them didn't realize their dreams of charging high rent while basking in luxury elsewhere. lol
Some people lose their jobs and have to relocate, others decide to move elsewhere. It's many reasons.

I can take the trail to any of those homes since they are in my zip code, which just encompasses Aliante. They are all good homes, connected to the trail system like all the others. Close to shopping, with more shopping added all the time. And other businesses. A Fresh and Easy store is set to open any day now near the corner of Aliante parkway and Centennial Parkway.

These are almost all shorts and REPOs. There are about 15 of the 2206 SF unit. They are KB. There are a couple built in 2003 that are actually above water. Note that tract is just down from the very nice park at the center of Aliante.

I'm not sure what you mean by this statement.

Thanks for the responses.

Above water...Real Estate Talk for worth more than the seller paid for the house. All the others are selling for a 100k or so less than the seller paid for them.

Any thoughts on KB built homes? I've heard a few negatives by word of mouth.

i personally am not a fan of kb, not necessarily the quality, the model homes are just decorated terribly in my opinion... how much are these homes in aliante.. you can get one just outside to the west for less money and get more house.

The KB tract has numerous 4 bed homes starting at $219K and up. Actually there is one with a pending offer listed at just under $205K. These are 2200 sqft homes. I have a link in a previous post to Realtor.com which lists most of these.

I don't want to go much further west because I'll be commuting to Nellis. I've searched 89131 but it seems most of the homes in my range are closer to Highway 95.

i like the one at 2624 COURLAN DR. funny that they are all the same size yet the pics would look otherwise... make sure you have a backyard, not just 8ft.

I'm thinking of buying a house in North Las Vegas,in the community of Shadow Brook, in zip code 89081. I have not found any info on that zip code or any of the other zip codes in North Las Vegas. I've found plenty of info on zip code 89084 and Aliante. Is there no other place as good? If anybody knows anything about zip code 89081 please let me know.
