And the graduation rate at a four year public university is 33.3%, hard to believe?

Doubt it. More likely something like 1 out of 3 graduate and someone expresses it as 33.3% making it appear far more precise than it is. 33.3+-0.5% or even bigger deviation is the reality.

#115 was not meant to support #114. I just find the mixture of standard and metric interesting.

You must measure things all the time? When something calls for 1.3 feet, do you convert or just eyeball it?

I've never seen anyone ask for 1.3 feet of anything. But I would assume 16 inches roughly.
If a customer asked for 1.3 feet of something I was ask them to be more specific.

I see items listed all the time combining standard and metric. I guess it's easier than 1ft 3 3/16 inches.
