Well, you're special. I've lived a sheltered life. In my world seeing something is very different than seeing a picture of something.

I am an electrical engineer. I spent years looking at pictures of electrical events. You cannot see electrical current though you can feel some. So I have no problem seeing things through images.

Recommend it highly. Avoid rediscovering that which is known.

You do appear to have a problem. There is no claim that those pictures are of real aliens. Simply models or images not the real thing. So apparently your frame of reference is so misaligned you do not understand what you are viewing.

Lightning is a physical event caused by electrical currents. What you see is the breakdown of the air not the current flow. It is actually an image of where the current is flowing.
