I did find one...possibly the only boarded home in LV...

Las Vegas Review Journal/reviewjournal.com

Granted, not the best area of town...and one that could be considered dangerous, no? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the area by the Wildfire casino, right? Many properties are rented over there, as opposed to owner's residence, I would think.
yeh, seems to be on L Street, so alphabet city...but i haven't even seen many boarded up homes in that area either...its not a Vegas thing to do I guess...

yeh, there's actually a lot of boarded up houses in that area...but i don't think its due to crime, just people moving and leaving the houses to sit and rot...

And I'm sure you live in an area with a very high % of minorities, don't you? And if not, why not?

Residents, correct me if I'm wrong...but neighborhoods in Las Vegas are generally not race-specific. In other words, there is no black section, hispanic section, etc.

That is a little too strong. We don't have the tight insular ethnic neighborhoods of the rust belt. But we do have a couple of neighborhoods that are likely 80% or more black or hispanic.

Mostly though we go polyglot...a mix of people of varying hues but similar economic status.

Sold a house for an old crippled cowboy on the east side. He claims the best thing that happened to him and the block was when the white okie tweakers next door were replaced by a family from Honduras. Elevated the block from almost unlivable to pleasant.
