Not a big fan of the south shore. Most of the south shore is either in a flood zone, declining, white trash or ghetto.

The few places that don't fall under those categories are just downright ugly and completely devoid of charm...Levittown and surrounding areas coming to mind.

The best areas of the south shore (south of 27a) are in flood zones or at high-risk for being rezoned into a flood zone. Wouldn't touch anything over there.

But Long Island as a whole is going in the crapper. In 20 years, it'll be:
45% Illegal aliens
45% Heroin Addicts
10% Overpaid Government leaches

Shame... LI was once the model, ideal and the posterboy for middle class american life.

Perhaps your own island without neighbors would be the perfect place for you.

I love the beach and it is roasting hard inland. Last weekend I went from a Beach Club at Atlantic Beach where my kids were actually wearing hoodies on the sand as it was cool and drove up to Garden City around 4pm where it was a raging inferno of heat with no breeze.

Unless things change soon, most of America will resemble those percentages. Then again, at least the police on the south shore arrest folks who destroy the private property of their neighbors.

Pretty funny, coming from a guy who feels it's appropriate to go onto his neighbors property and disassemble their pool because you feel it's 'not appropriate'.

You belong in jail.

Agreed. Check out his first post where he tried to draw a distinction between top SUNYs and "lower" SUNYs when applying to entry level jobs. This person is clearly in their 20s and has no clue how the real world works.
