Well, the important thing is stats can be twisted to fit our preconceived notions.

For example, any alcohol related crimes, how are they counted? If someone drinks and drives but lives in Bellport but was pulled over in Bayshore, are they counting that stat for Bayshore where they caught him or Bellport for where he lives?

As for the original topic, I do agree with theBobs about wondering how this data was compliled and if it's apples to apples. I disagree with Bob about DWI's. Crime is generally recorded where it occurs, not where the criminal lives.
