I don't know, but had you used a quote three posts back, then we wouldn't be asking.

Did you not read the title of this thread before you responded?

Ya, but there were 28 or so posts following the original post any one of which could have been the object of your question. Had you quoted the original post then we would have know what you were asking about.

Usually when people respond to the main topic they don\'t need to quote it. I quote when I\'m responding to any other person other than the thread starter. Anyways, who are these so many people in LA that dislike other area codes? I\'ve never met them.

I agree with an earlier poster that I'd like to see evidence that non-310/949 area codes are disliked.

I remember when (213) = Los Angeles and (714) = Orange County, so, to me, the (213) area code has the most cachet.

BHPO is one of those cases. The hills above Beverly Hills is technically Los Angeles, but the post office serving the area is Beverly Hills'.
BH between La Cienega and San Vicente is in a Beverly Hills zip code, 90211. BH doesn't go east of San Vicente after San Vicente crosses La Cienega ; then you're in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of L.A.

A friend of mine was at a "trendy" LA bar a few years ago. There were a couple of "mean girls" standing nearby. When someone else (a girl) walked up to the bar, one of them said "Smells like 818 in here!"

Horrifying!

I gauge my dislike of the different area codes with b.s. people use to throw at you when they cut you off in traffic! Nobody is watchin the road!!!

310 - Cell phone in hand, eyeballs oblivious to the road, left turn signal for a right turn!

949 - same

626 - same

214 - same

323 - same

DUUUUDE - nobody cares it's the same action, different damn city and different area code schizzz!

It's all the same California driver blow off!
