Hi, My husband might accept a job in San Dimas. I am trying to find out some information on what would be a good area to live in. I have 3 children 2 in high school and 1 in middle school. We are interested in leasing a house. Could anyone please give me some information on good areas to look with a good school system, commute no further than about 45 minutes to San Dimas. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

You better look in san Dimas cause traffic is a nightmare in that part of town. Anything over 20 miles will be a long commute. San Dimas is a nice town though just be careful in which part you go.

BRinSM, I appreciate the neighboring cities you mentioned. I will check there also. We want to lease a home for a couple of years before buying so this gives us other options for looking. Thank you.

Yep, I'm going to go with San Dimas (La Verne, Glendora, etc) too.

Watch out for the Circle K though. There's strange things afoot there.

I 2nd these suggestions. All are close enough to San Dimas to be very reasonable commutes. All nice areas....

I am single, no kids but a co-worker with kids mentioned to me that Glendora has very GOOD public schools (better than San Dimas).

Glendora USD is excellent--one of top districts in the SGV, if not the whole LA County. Glendora USD serves "North Glendora"--which is Glendora north of the 210FWY.

Charter Oak USD (serves San Dimas, Covina, and "South Glendora") is just slightly lower ranking, but still very good by LA County standards.
