I don't know much about Glendale other than its location relative to Los Angeles. But I do know a bit of "Glendale trivia". Glendale was the fictional location of the Douglas family in the '60s TV series "My Three Sons"

Sounds like Glendale is a great place..if you're Armenian and value the things Armenians value. Sounds kinda like the old Italian neighborhoods out East. Organized crime a noticeable presence, but people working together to keep the community overall in line with what the mainstream in the community views as desirable.

That certainly has its drawbacks, and it's a reflection of how badly things have gone elsewhere that it's now perceived as a sort of oasis.

I lived in Glendale in the 1990's. Yes it was magnificent, great memories.
