Oh no! Since I haven't been downtown in ages, is the bridge being repaired or is it coming down?

Sounds like it is coming down and being rebuilt.

Here's an article on it: LA's Search For an Iconic New Sixth Street Bridge - LA River Rising - Curbed LA

If only the look of old downtown extended to the rest of the city. Hate those stucco apartments..

I criticize L.A. alot but in the end I still love it.

I hope DTLA expands, and become alot more of a place to live than just a place to pass through.
Nothing says "love" like constantly denigrating Los Angeles while pimping NYC and Chicago to no end. Warms the heart, really.

They have their unique appeal. I even like some of the dingbat apartments and crackerbox apartments - not sure I'd want to live in one though!

I live 6 miles from downtown LA and my building is not made from stucco.

Ya, L.A. does have more of a modern architectural feel compared to most other cities I've been to.

I wonder how L.A will look when I'm 70. Only thing I hate about modern architecture is that people come up with some retarded designs. Ya I like a futuristic building but I still want it to look like a building. The glass boxes will never compare to the detailed buildings of the 30's with all the carvings.

if anything they should bring back an updated form of that architecture. Cuz some buildings would look amazing from far away, but up close it's all just a plain glassy surface.
