We just got home from spending over a week at our Maine house. These were driving down 188 to get to our house. I was so excited to see the snow on top of the mountain. Dispite the mid 60's and sunny week we happen to have up there! It was a beautiful week... deffintely a disappointment when we had to come back to the ratrace here in New Jersey...

We emptied the truck and actually sorted every single box and put all the stuff away! The cottage is fully furnished now for trips up, The house (3 bdroom mobile) has all the kids rooms set up minus the beds. Their beds won't go till last. Their rooms look nice though with a lot of their stuff, posters, etc. Our master room is empty for now. Overall, its moving along though.

Our next trip up is already planned for the last week of Dec (right after christmas). Kids are coming this time for winter break from school. We also already have planned for coming up for Spring Break from school as well. Then of course summer.

Welcome! And definitely do some in person research before you move. There is a vast array of opnions on here about which part of Maine folks like. It's a very personal thing. If you've got some time start going back through old threads, you will find advice on heating, taxes, gardening, building, town amenities etc.... Maine is like nothing you've ever exprienced and there are many of us that are still from away to stand beside you in your journey!
