I have a hankerin for a good lobster or crabmeat roll basket. I was at a place near Brooksville a couple weeks ago and was a bit "sticker shocked". Seen any good deals????

Ben's Store on the Surry Road in Ellsworth (right past the Black House) makes a good crabmeat roll. Full of crab and around $7.50 I think.

The eagles nest in just north of bangor on 9. I think the lobster roll is about 16 but its the most lobster I've ever seen on a roll and the crabmeet is about 9.

Alice's Pride [just this side of Ellsworth] a farm market with veggies, and inside a wide assortment of home canned vittles, a surprizing variety of local wines, a pizza oven and sandwich counter. Girls in shorts and t-shirts serving the customers Lobster rolls for $8.95

Also try Nook & Cranny [just outside Calais. Go north on Route 1 to Route 9. Go west on 9 (the airline) about 3 miles and it's on your left] has fantastic lobster.

I think you mean Annie's pride. Owned by Mark and Beth Hardison. They make wicked pizza too

If I was looking for lobster rolls or crab rolls.....I wouldn't have "the cheapest" as my main criteria. Perhaps the most filled with chunks of lobster....or perhaps "the biggest".....served on buttered and grilled rolls....served in a seaside setting (whether at a picnic table or in a charming window in a bistro or cafe), When I have lobster.....I want it to be memorable. It is my favorite food.

Right up the road. $6 lobster roll at the Dairy Bar, wicked good onion rings. Nice $8 lobster roll served up at Breton's store at the Junction. Meme's crab shack at the base of Indian Hill is good to. All this and more in Greenville! A new joint just opened called the Blue Loon, awesome deep fried calamari.
