not the namby-pamby amounts either.....right now we're at about 7 inches or so and it's still snowing!! yes!
I've all ready driven down to Robbinston and back, and I'll have to go again later (dropped Michael off for Cadet stuff)....but since we're not expected to have a change-over I'll shovel in a couple of hours.....but bombing through the snowbank at the end of the driveway was especially fun!!
We have enough new snow for the plow to have gone by three times and my birdbath to now be out of sight. Looks like we'll get the 10" side of the 5-10" forecast. I'm at the diningroom table with two seed catalogs and thinking how good hot chocolate with peppermint Schnapps is going to be later.
I got my "Seeds of Change" catalogue yesterday. I love looking thru seed catalogues. (Especially where its cold and snowy!) I think seed catalogues are a great remedy for Seasonal Affective Disorder. (whoops I probably should have posted this in the Backyard gardening thread!)
It looks like about [edited] 14 inches here, the son is out with the snow-thrower clearing the driveway.
It is coming down as huge fluffy flakes.
Our dog [now to be known as 'Stupid-dog'] loves to curl-up in the snow to sleep, in so doing she melts round patches in the snow, which re-freeze into bowl-shaped layers of ice about three foot in diameter [she is a large stupid dog], now with a fresh layer of snow covering everything our son slipped and fell into one of her sleeping holes.
sigh

THREE inches Forest, are you nuts???? I just shoveled off my deck for the second time today, the first was at about 8:30am, and it was near 4 inches then. Again just awhile ago, and another 3 or so. Bangor it said on the news has about 8.5" already. Hope the child is okay... he needs to be rested for another paintball war to take place sometime. My dh is now looking to buy one of those guns you two got for Christmas. Thanks Bonnie! lol
OMG!!!! You got a spare room? That is the most beautiful sight! I'm guessing you may not think so when you have to shovel some of it away, but WOW!!!!!
And what a pretty house! You have quite a view there, I'm betting even without the snow.
