Loop last 4 hours. 1:30-5:30pm.

Focus on Bar Harbor Maine.. CRAZY. They aren't passing 51F today??

Check out the temp departure from normal for the hour. Bangor is 15 below normal at 52° at 5pm!
20+ above normal in South Dakota under that Ridge

Upper Low keeping Maine and Northeast below normal. Normal is pretty much Upper 60s/ & 70s in June now.

Hope you still enjoyed your visit, Mt Desert Island is really a special place. Maine summer weather can be a little unpredictable (even without any jetstream issues from up north). If you get a sea-breeze bringing cold air off the ocean inland, and a foggy day, it can be 60-degrees for a high even in August at the coast. Gotta bring your just-in-case clothes! Sounds like you were pretty well prepared, anyways - well done :-)

Yeah, enjoyed it but the weather could of been better. Normal is upper 60s for Early June and it was staying in the 40s.

Nice job! Love the color. Yeah, was nice for outdoor projects for sure. Loving the dry pattern!

11:45am temps this morning. Front and Clouds and Precip staying south of Maine. But I see some clouds up north.

Dewpoints are in the 30s today. Low humidity.

Discussion from NWS Caribou:

Quote:
National Weather Service Caribou ME
918 AM EDT Sun Jun 10 2018

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
Update 9:00 AM: No major changes made this update. Sky cover was
changed to match current conditions being cloudier up north, and
adjusted through 18z to account for expectation of at least
partly cloudy skies over the central CWA as things warm up. Will
need to monitor for possible further boosting of cloud cover
later today. Temps and dewpoints were adjusted for current
conditions and trends.

Strong high pressure will build in from the northwest today and
tonight. Expect mostly clear and dry conditions through tonight.
Some frost is possible in North Woods this morning and will keep
frost advisory in place. Frost is possible again in the
northwestern areas for Monday Morning as high pressure builds
into the area.

.SHORT TERM /MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure will be building over the state on Mon and offshore by
Mon evening. Clouds will increase in the aftnoon across the north as s/wv
pinwheels around north Atlantic H5 low. Temps will warm in the afternoon across
most areas compared to Sunday. Only exception will be in Downeast
areas as seabreeze dvlps in the afternoon.

We had a hard frost in Lee on June 12. I drew the word FROST on my ATV cover and took a picture. On June 13 it hit 81 degrees in Bangor and today, June 14, it was 41 degrees at 10 AM.

Sure Bar Harbor, hit 70 now when I'm not there. Check out Boston. 2pm and 56°. I'll take my 70 with wind and clouds here. Great day. Very pleasant
