Boy, that one got gutted. I don't think it's sad either. Some may think it's a shame to break a kids heart by shooting Bambi. I feel it's better to toughen up and enjoy the meal the way the good Lord intended. I know, not PC. But it never hurt my kids to know that steak came from Elsie on the Bordens commercial. Ruthless, shouold be whipped.

It might not be PC these days but reality shouldn't ever go out of style.

I agree. Reality may be tough at times but you can't survive in a sugary fantasy world.

Maybe you can... suppose that has anything to do with the "epidemic" of obesity?

I thought that was a talking bear.

I have not seen any princess.
Snow white was seen around the forest heading towards a small house.

Tonight I was stocking shelves at the grocery where B works [I recently took over 2 contracts that our eldest son had as a vendor stocker], apparently I dont have nearly enough to do around here. As I was putting 6 different kinds of Jolly Time popcorn on the shelf. I was looking at the boxes, with so much stupid advertising on them, and this one box is extolling the health virtues of it's popcorn.

Now we buy popcorn in a 50 pound sack, so I am fairly certain that it is relatively 'pure' but this tiny 10 oz box that cost as much as 20 pounds, was saying how healthy it is.

So I looked at the ingredients.

There is a block of tiny font with maybe 10 lines of ingredients, and then in big letters:
Eggs, milk, soy, .....

Now how much egg do you think they would put in popcorn?

Milk?

I could see if I was popping some corn, I might pour some melted butter on it. But when I pay pennies a pound for popcorn, I am pretty sure there is no eggs in it. No milk either.

Soy?

I did not have my glasses on, I know there was a list of chemicals, but I really dont want to know what fancy chemicals they put in popcorn.

They dont know how lucky they are that I don't do their advertising. For 20 cents a case, I stock the shelves. But man I would never eat that stuff.

I must make sure that I never bring my glasses to the grocery store.
