We were supposed to get 1 - 3 inches last night, we got a light dusting, which turned to slush to 1am.

Yes it was a weird night. We got rain and the temperature went up to 38 degrees. NWS said it was going to be in the teens....that's pretty close! They must need some new equipment to be more accurate!

They rarely get it right for us.... best forecast comes from the Canadian side. I have no idea what we've got here for snow but we need some more--the "dusting" doesn't work!

Ya'll stay warm and cozy for the next few days and especially nights. It's going to be +3 tonight with a high tomorrow of +8.

i think you are very right- i suppose its hard to get the forcast right when the weatherman is from portland and stands in front of eastern maine the whole time (i only see the morning news), unless he is talking about the canadian maritimes- or 'extreme downeast'. hubby uses the canadian forecast for fishing- amazingly so different than the american forecast, and (i hate to admit) often more accurate for our area.
