Mexican's are White! There's no African culture in Latin america (Cuban son, Colombian cumbia and Brazilian samba were created by pure Iberians) and lastly the precolombian influence is minuscule and therefore doesn't count.
Where does this notion that Mexicans have African DNA in them? That is fake news. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Mexicans have no African blood. That’s reality. European slave traders who brought Africans to the Americas is the only reason why there is a very small percentage of Africans in the Americas. Latin Americans have no African blood. And the very small percentage of African slave descendants are isolated from the rest of the population of those countries. Reason being is they want them to die off.
They do and it's easy to verify there are a lot of genetic studies that have been done 4%-5% are typical results and it goes up in Veracruz.
Mexicans are also Aztecs. The people the Mestizos like OP seem to ignore.
Not all. Aztecs were in the center of Mexico. In gulf coast were Mayans, Olmecs and Huastecas among others, in Yucatan peninsula Mayans, in Michoacan Purepechas, in Oaxaca Mixtecos, Zapotecos, Nahuas, etc.
America and Mexico are new world countries so it is different.
You can have african roots and be English if you look English and it is a very small amount. Otherwise, nope. I am sure you have found many people who have told you that. Or they are just being polite.
Why is it different? Because you say so? It's not up to you to say who can and can't be English, there are plenty of non-White English people and there's nothing you can do about that.

Most mexicans do have a drop of African blood. The Spaniards brought slaves to New Spain and when slavery abolished they didn't just disappear. They married other mexicans and now there are many mexicans that don't even know they are part African. It is rather obvious if you are any good at reading faces. I see many Mexicans here in San Antonio (not to mention other latin americans, but here there are mostly mexicans) that have African features. If your family had curly hair it is very likely because of African ancestry (could be Jewish too, of which there is a lot of Jewish blood in Mexicans as well). Most mexicans/indians have hair straighter than whites, like asians.
