But think of that point of view.
Why share something that would hurt our state, and many other states economy? Ask New York if they wanna share and watch Niagara Falls turn into a trickle.

The desert wasn't meant to house such a large population. Why the hell should we drain the resources of an area that was made to sustain a large population because people want to have warm winters?

Draining the Great Lakes in order to divert the water to a desert would cause the economic and environmental ruin of the entire region.

It's Darwinism. If there isn't any water where you are at, you go where the water is. Don't wait for a pipe to bring it to you.

Give us your water.

We need it.

JGatti's right though, we've had more rain so far this year than ALL of last year.

It's going around that soon (I don't know how soon though), that all out West (Arizona, Nevada, Utah, etc), are going to start wanting the Great Lakes Water pumped out there.

I don't know about you, but I don't want our water ruined by this, do you?? It'll ruin our fishing, recreation, etc.

Any opinions, thoughts, any information you wanna' add?

Anything at all?

Thanks!

Two regions, really. It wouldn't be "Desert" anymore, eh?

Have to disagree with you there. USCG has jurisdiction over all US navigational waters. They are the ones laying their azzes on the line to protect the Great Lakes.

Well said!

Please, somebody tell me why people keep moving to Arizona/Nevada/New Mexico etc. Do they think they have a unlimited supply of water for all those people??

Phoenix ranks in 4th for the highest growing rate in the nation. Hmm, I wonder where they plan on getting their water from...
