Early Christian rock groups worth seeking out is the rock group People.Headed by Larry Norman, their big AM chart hit was "I Love You", from May of 1968.Follow-up was called Both Sides of People. Also check out Glass Harp. Headed by Phil Keaggy, they put out three albums in the early 70's on the Decca label. Heavy? Not too. Good? You bet! Collrctible? Very!! Both Norman and Keaggy put out a number of recordings worth seeking out.

I also learned alot of The Word by listening to all of Petras' first albums, you absolutley can't go wrong by getting them.

Their stuff from the late 70s was also cool, Greg X Volz was the singers name back then, he has at least one solo album that I know of The River Is Rising, he is a very good singer, one of my favorite. I'm sure you heard of Barren Cross?

Switchfoot is a Christian band? I had a feeling but didn't know for sure. Wasn't Creed also?

Umm wouldn't they kind of defeat the whole Christian idea...with titles like 'death' metal?
