I'm not religious either and it hasn't been a problem. In fact, going out for Sunday breakfast is GREAT until church lets out but earlier than 10 you have your pick of great places!
I lived in Sacramento. It's . . . busy. Traffic is tough. People driving from Tahoe to San Francisco (or the other way around) or down I-5 to LA. I went to UC Davis but lived in Sacramento. Davis is a cool little town. Sac has some nice places but it was NOT as peaceful as Nashville.
I lived in Minneapolis a year out of college. Lasted 6 months. Just too darn COLD (and I was from Connecticut).
Heard that housing in Austin is depressed but I guess that means it might be a good place to BUY a house?
