Birds will do some funny things and be oblivious to the world. A few months ago I saw a bird trying to get another bird to mate in the middle of the road. I was worried they'd get run over, but people steered around them.

There was a news story a few years ago about someone putting yellow ribbons on trees and they disappeared. At first they thought it was people. Turned out to be squirrels. When they replaced the cotton ribbons with polyester ones the squirrels stopped gathering them for nesting material.

Even the squirrels know the difference between cotton and polyester! I'm getting an image of a young squirrel coming back to the nest with a polyester ribbon. Mama squirrel says, "No, child! That one doesn't breathe and gets stinky! Go for cotton only!"

We've had an abundance of parakeets lately. More than usual. One big one sat in the tree right outside my door for almost an hour, screaming out loudly. Green, gray chest, green underside turning yellow-green towards the tail tip.
Beautiful, fun things to watch! When they fly overhead they always scream!

This is such a nice thread!

Watching 3 baby seagulls being fed by momma seagull. I had never seen a seagull chick before! They have a nest on the roof just below my place. Fun watching them 'test' out their wings. Soon they'll be flying around! Neat. Btw, the chicks are brown, who knew?!

The actual footage is on You Tube. I would post but it has numerous politics and other content prior too the actual footage on current 2012 campaign. Most likley it would be deleted..

Listed as ........ Woodchucks Steal Civil War Graveyard Flags copy & paste into You Tube
