dognh, I am missing the point of yer vote. Is this meaning about your farm? If so i wouldn't cast a vote as i don't believe you are doing any of those. I believe what ever your doing on your farm is legal, but that maybe the black helicopters come near harvest times. They do here.

You're either
A) Running a marijuana 'farm'
B) David Koresh
C) Hiding from the black helicopters
D) Lying

Vote Now!
I guess I would have to vote
E) None of the above

I don't know much about marijuana but know a fair amount about swine (we sell market hogs and piglets), sheep (we have a small flock of 20 or so Southdown and Cheviot brood ewes) and vegetables (we sell seasonally outside our house, can and freeze for our own consumption and feed off everything else to the animals)
I don't believe I am a prophet or leader of a religious cult. I'm just a simple Christian and attend services most Sunday's.
Never hid from any helicopters but I was in Air Defense Artillery during my years in the Army. I worked on a now obsolete missile system (Chaparral). We convoyed with the Patriot units during the Gulf War.
I liar, sir, I am not.

Send me a PM and I'll send you our address and you and Aptor Hours can come have a tour of our farm. I promise, my wife will call back her Australian Shepherds. Morgan and Zeus are very well trained working dogs. Huge assets here moving sheep around and keeping the kids safe. Shelby, our little Lhasa Apso has impeccable hearing and you would never make it near the house with out him barking alert to us and his bigger counter parts.

I, myself, would rather enjoy watching George and Gracie (our pair of Toulouse geese) and their offspring chase a couple of moonbat, latte drinking, MA transplants around the yard.

Why can't you deal with a couple of good ole boy's.

My point was just that you are portraying NH in ridiculous way to folks reading this board who are not from here.

There are NO places in NH (especially rural farming areas) where that type of security is necessary or common.

I didn't vote in my own poll, so I'm not saying that you are lying, but based on your response, I'd care to go with C.

This is exactly what has gone wrong. We are, all of us, expected to be tolerant of everyone - with the exception of:

a. personally responsible independent types, especially the armed
b. anyone whose personal religious beliefs are considered fundamentalist

This limited 'tolerance' is ingenuous and political correctness has become an excuse for state mandated social engineering in schools and other public institutions. We are not living free when we are told what to think and how everywhere we turn, our children are repetetively brainwashed about what to think and how to behave accordingly. They could remove 75% of kids from our $$special needs classification$$ in our town simply by allowing them to think and behave normally as opposed to being considered 'non compliant'.

dognh, tell that to the 2 dead couples raped and murdered in Sawyer River mid 80's, the customer and the store manager at the Army Depot in Conway, shot in a armed robbery for real low dough.

Tell the guy I put in a wheel chair for life too, when I resided in Bartlett off a dead end off another dead end.

I am sure there are more I don't know. Even the care taker who was shot while running an AMC hut, wishes he were armed now. You don't get more rural than being a AMC hut master. Carter Notch Hut.

At harvest time there are all black helicopters over my garden. They are looking for the wild wood lands weeds. They won't find any here, since i don't smoke it, but that doesn't stop them from looking.

And then in the past years living remotely there have been wild kooks coming to the door that were turned away by the wrong end of a gun. One fool became so excited that i didn't have keys to the logging company gate BECAUSE I never worked for them, that he wanted to use MY phone to call the cops on ME. He became violent when i refused to allow him inside my place. When he saw i was armed, he decided the best thing to do was leave.

The next place to me a mile away, was a elderly old man, and I called him incase that kook went there, and the kook did. He was greeted by that old man in a way not much to his liking.

I had called the cops as soon as the kook left. Evidently the kook was bent on coming back to my place for reasons un-known but speeding on the class 6 road going over the logging company bridge with no rails he made a sharp turn left and ended up in the brook below.

The kicker was he wanted to drive his Ford Escort on a logging road that hasn't exisited in 70 years. If he had a D-8 bull dozer it would have taken him a month to go 6 miles anyway!

There is more kooks, when I had horses, people would feed them garbage and even twice clam chowder! With more people come more kooks, and with more kooks, come more criminals. It's just the way it is. Some kooks won't leave when told to do so, and that's when things go south.

This past Fall a kook came here. It was no real problem, since the No Tresspassing signs were taken down, and I don't mind passers thru or folks who need time alone in th woods, but this one crapped all over the ground and left a toliet paper mess. The dogs here seemed to rather enjoy that mess and I wasn't real happy about the discovery.

There is a proper way to relieve one's self in the woods when nature calls, and I wish people from away would bother to learn it! Hell half these whitless greenies have no idea How To Poop in the woods!

Way to go lisa g

Libertarianism is BS. You can't have a population doing whatever the hell it wants with no laws or government interference. I love the people who rally against government interference with seat belt laws and helmet laws, but they are all for locking someone up who smokes grass. Then, where do you draw the line? Allow marijuana but not heroin? Why not? Can I pollute the river on my land? After all, its on MY LAND. Watch what happens when big banks lend money to anyone with 2 nickels in their pocket because there is no government regulation. Oh, thats right, people walk away from their homes because they have no monetary interest in them.

We need laws because we have too many idiots who ruin it for others. Just smart, realistic laws. That said, I've spent time in your beautiful state and I think the amount of regulation there is perfect. The rest of the country should follow suit.

Yes, our great state is for the most part a safe place to live.

My point was that it's best to have a strong defense so when the likes of Steven Spader come along we will not end up like the poor Cates family.

Have you seen WMUR news today?

You have a sicko boyscout leader charged with child pornography.

The arrest of a Carl Bickham a registered sex offender who stalked a 12 year old girl in Manchester.

Then there's Joe Audet, who robbed a 67 and 91 year old women. One of them broke a wrist in the robbery when they were knocked to the ground.

Yes, this type of thing happens way less in NH then in other parts of the country, but it's steadily increasing.

All it takes is once and somebody's live is ruined or worse.

Well, not to my family. Not to my 8 or 13 year old daughters or my 3 or 11 year old sons. Not to my elderly parents or my beautiful wife. Not on my watch.
So bash me if you must, call me a redneck, call me a hick but we choose to live like this and if you were my neighbor I'd look out for your family and property too.

Nothing like a liberal rushing to judgment. It must upset you greatly that there are people like me in the world. Have you ever heard the sonic crack of a round flying past your head?
